It’s wise to expect a stressful day at work so better be prepared by having complete hours of sleep and taking a multivitamin to boost strength and body resistance. Before going to sleep, do some light bonding activities with the kids like reading their favorite book. The feeling of fulfillment from bonding with your kids is the best way to give you a positive energy to face a busy workday ahead.
A little massage on the face can help you release some tension. When you are stressed, the tendency is that you’ll have a headache. Take a few minutes break from your work daily and release some stress by massaging your brow muscles, cheeks and jaws. Do the same to the back of your neck and you’ll surely feel more relaxed.
If you think stress can only be caused by moving a lot and doing a lot of things you’re wrong. Stress is caused by thinking and worrying too much. So if you’re paper or computer work is getting into your nerves, go outside for a moment and take a quick stroll in the sidewalk. Or if you have a playground near the office, go there, see the beautiful sight and feel the fresh air.
When you are under stress, you find it hard to think and make decisions properly. Your brain seems to get clogged up with all the paperwork and the pressure you are getting from your boss. As much as possible, try to bring your own lunch when going to work. This way you can be sure that you have prepared the meal yourself. And don’t just prepare any meal or snack. Choose stress busting food and drink that includes fresh fruits and vegetables and fruits juice and lots of water. The food you eat can affect your body’s reaction to stress so choose carefully and eat healthy instead of junk food.
Don’t forget to pamper yourself at the end of the day. A good massage or body spa can really get rid of the stress brought by the pressure of your office work. Get a facial treatment if you feel like you need one. If you just want to relax, at least soothe your body by rubbing it with some oil, lotion and other pampering products available in your beauty kit.
